Write a new importer

Importers are separate binaries that translate another tool's export into a normal Alexandria workspace.

An importer should:

• Read an external export format.
• Create Alexandria notes and tags on disk.
• Map external fields to Alexandria tag properties when the mapping is clear.
• Preserve useful source metadata without inventing structure.
• Be safe to try first, ideally with dry-run or verbose output.

Use the Notion importer in alexandria-importer as the working example. It reads Notion Markdown/CSV exports and writes Alexandria notes, tags, and properties.
